Needle Felting Bees Wax -
The Felted Ewe proudly offers our High Quality Beeswax Bees. Our 100% pure refined beeswax has been filtered to be free of debris. Available in Natural & Black our Bees measure 1 3/4 x 2 inches & is approx. 3/8" thick. Beeswax is used by many Needle Felting Artists to keep the fibers tight when Needle Felting sculptures that have tiny fingers, toes & tails. Since there is no way to Needle Felt the fibers after wrapping them around your Wire Armature, you just twist them as tightly as possible around your Armature then lightly dip them into the melted Beeswax & twist again to secure them. A little really does go a long way! Natural Beeswax works best on lighter fibers while Black Beeswax is perfect for your darker colored fibers. If you need to remove some of it, just place a paper towel around the area & run a warm iron over it. It wont remove it 100% but it will get most of it out. Beeswax has a low melting threshold so you may want to keep it in a cool place. It could also melt while on it's way to you if it's hot enough out. If this happens just place it in the Fridge to firm it back up , although I doubt it will still look like a Bee.
