The Felted Ewe proudly offers this high quality Natural Targhee Open Top Core Wool! Core Wool is used for the centers of larger pieces. Your Colored Wools are then needle felted over the top. This allows your Colors to go farther & not be used where you won't see it! These fibers come from the North American Targhee sheep & have been commercially processed. Wool carding, using a Commercial or Drum Carder, is the process of brushing the wool with wire teeth to slightly separate the fibers & remove debris such as Vegetable Matter. Because of the way this wool has been processed it felts down pretty quickly making it easy to use for all your Needle Felting projects! This wool is pretty clean but due to the nature of the cleaning process, some vegetable matter may be left behind.
