Needle Felting Wool Batt -
The Felted Ewe proudly offers the highest quality Needle Felting Wool Batts in a wide variety of yummy colors & textures! Imported from Holland, the fibers that make up this Batt come from Icelandic sheep & range from 26 to 40 Microns. They are a slightly course, very crimpy fiber and, in my opinion, are among the best for Needle Felting as they felt down to a sculptable density the quickest making them easy to use for all your Needle Felting projects! They are a blend of Natural & Dyed fibers which have been Commercially Carded making for great color consistency when you need to reorder your favorite colors but please order enough for your project as they do sometimes vary from Lot to Lot. Wool carding, using a Commercial or Drum Carder, is the process of brushing the wool with wire teeth, in this case, to separate the fibers and clean the wool to produce layers of webs of fibers also known as a Batt. We do not recommend using these fibers for clothing items as they may irritate the skin. Due to the nature of the cleaning process, some vegetable matter may be left behind. Because they are commercially dyed we cannot guarantee the color fastness of any of these fibers.
